gpg crashes when attempting to write a key to a card
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

I've tried to generate a key on a card (yubikey 4) and when gpg was about to
write the key to the card, it crashed with this error

gpg: app-openpgp.c :2271 : build_privkey_template: assertion « rsa_e_len <=
rsa_e_reqlen » failed.

Please use GnuPG 2 (2.0 or 2.1) for using smartcard/token.
smartcard support in GnuPG 1.4 is way old and only supports shorter key length.

I would suggest to close this as won't fix.

GnuPG 1.4 is only for old features. New features are only supported by GnuPG 2.2.
